We chose to explore Kashmir in the month of April to especially experience the the most vibrant and colourful face of “heaven on earth”. Srinagar is home to Asia's largest tulip garden. You can see the dazzling rainbow colours of the Tulip Festival in Srinagar during the first two weeks of April as the ideal temperature for the proper budding and blooming of tulips is around 15-16 degrees.
As you can see we were lucky enough to experienced the most beautiful sight one can imagine.
But right after, that night Srinagar experienced snowfall! Snowfall in the month of April is unlikely and happened after nearly two decades, and sadly it badly affected the tulips as well.
But we were lucky as snowfall was something we were experiencing for the first time in our lives. The drive to Pahalgam in a snowy morning was something very unexpected and something truly divine…
